In April of 2009, Noel Furniture supported the fight against breast cancer with a donation to the Lester & Sue Smith Breast Center at the Baylor College of Medicine and by sponsoring the Neiman Marcus Stiletto Strut, a walk to stop breast cancer in its tracks.

During the summer of 2009, we began talks with Harley’s Angels to bring the Houston community some very special pink ribbon events in October: Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  During the month of October, we will be helping Harley’s Angels raise money to fund breast cancer research at two leading Houston research facilities, hosting some very special events to promote breast cancer awareness, and providing some special discounts and savings to our customers in the process.

On Saturday, October 17^th, we invite everyone to join us and help make the largest human pink ribbon in Houston! Please arrive at Noel by 5:00 pm to participate in the human pink ribbon and to be there to welcome the pink fire trucks (from The Pink Ribbon Tour) and the Harley’s Angels as they arrive at Noel at 5:30 from the Dragon Boat Races. There will be an aerial photograph taken of the human pink ribbon and pink fire trucks outside Noel and all breast cancer survivors that are present can sign the pink fire trucks.

On Saturday, October 24^th, all are invited to attend the First Annual Salute to Survivors Ceremonial Ride-In event. Arrive at Noel by 10:30 am to watch the ceremonial ride-in as the Harley’s Angels and friends ride their bikes with a police escort into the Noël parking lot (estimated arrival time: 11:00 am). Festivities include a bike show (vote for the best bike!), BBQ booth, art show with featured artist Sarah Stockstill from the Perrell Fine Art Gallery in LA (she will be painting during the event), art bras on display from BRA-vissima!, a special pink ribbon Honda motorcycle on display and for sale, music, calendar signings by the Harley’s Angels, and fun for the whole family! Special discounts on Noel Furniture will be given for donations to Harley’s Angels all month AND 5% of all sales for the day will go to Harley’s Angels as well.

Throughout October, when you donate money to Harley’s Angels, we’ll be giving you a 2010 Harley’s Angels calendar, along with savings of up to 35% on your purchase at Noel and more!

Harley’s Angels is an organization of women motorcycle enthusiasts dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness, research, and education.  They are Cruzin’ to Cure breast cancer in Houston with various events, rides, and their tastefully designed calendars each year featuring Harley’s Angels and their motorcycles.  Harley’s Angels, Cruzin’ to Cure, is a non-profit 501(c)3 volunteer organization;  100% of all proceeds raised by Harley’s Angels Cruzin’ to Cure, goes to breast cancer research at the Lester & Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine and the Breast Cancer Research and Prevention Fund at M.D. Anderson.  To date, they have donated $360,500 to these two Houston research centers.
